Mara visita a Comunidade Nova Esperança - Mara pays a visit to New Hope Community

          Esse “lixão” foi descoberto por intermédio de um de nossos participantes. Depois, soubemos que  a maior parte desses trabalhadores (do lixão)  não tem um salário digno e que muitas vezes lhes faltam alimentos básicos.  

          São muitos os problemas sociais atuais das pessoas que precisam trabalhar em um ‘lixão’.  Somente um governo  justo que zele pela saúde  do trabalhador (proporcionando melhores condições de trabalho), saúde ambiental, entre tantas outras questões a serem acertadas, poderia ajudar na melhoria da qualidade de vida desses indivíduos. Não existe valorização da mão de obra ou na produção da reciclagem.Trabalhar com o lixo, é para alguns “catadores” um ofício digno; para outros não. As pessoas percebem o não-reconhecimento do seu trabalho pela sociedade preconceituosa e por promessas não cumpridas. 

          No entanto, o Grupo Espírita Amor E Luz  resolveu  apadrinhar um grupo de vinte (20) pessoas da Comunidade.  Resolvemos contribuir com cestas  básicas, munindo  recursos alimentícios uma vez ao mês com a esperança de que não lhes faltem comida. Também trocamos o nome de  “lixão” para "Comunidade  Nova Esperança”.

          Recentemente, Mara Brandão teve a oportunidade de conversar e abraçar  cada uma dessas pessoas da Comunidade Nova Esperança. Nesse vídeo , as pessoas da Comunidade, enviam muito carinho para cada um de nós . Eles dizem que o Amor E Luz tem sido  a única organização  que tem cumprido com a promessa de ajuda. 

          Nesse encontro Mara nos trouxe  muita gratidão e para eles deixou esperança e a alegria de poderem ser ouvidos por alguem “de fora” como eles mesmos dizem...

          This "garbage dump" was discovered through one of our participants. Later, we learned that most of these workers (from the garbage dump) do not earn a decent living wage and often lack daily meals.

          There are many current social problems of people who need to work in a 'garbage dump' area. Only a fair government that protects workers' health programs (providing better working conditions), environmental health, among many other issues to be resolved, could help improve the quality of life of these individuals. There is no appreciation of the workforce or in the production of recycling. To work with the garbage is for some "pickers" a decent trade; for others not. People perceive the non-recognition of their work by a biased society and unfulfilled promises.

          However, the Spiritist Group Love E Light decided to sponsor a group of twenty (20) people from this Community. We decided to contribute with food baskets once a month, in the hope that they will have enough food. We also changed the name from "garbage dump" to "New Hope Community".

          Recently, Mara Brandão had the opportunity to talk to and hug each one of them from the New Hope Community. In this video, the people of the Community sent us lots of love and affection. They say that Spiritist Group Love E Light has been the only organization that has fulfilled their promisses. At that meeting, Mara brought us a lot of gratitude and for them, she left hope and the joy of being heard by someone from the "outside" as they themselves say ...
